Perception mapping and the creation of a Black Dot Perception Matrix is central to everything we do.

This is where it all starts, because perception is everything.  

Before we even start to think about creatives or campaigns, we first help you work through who your key audiences are, what they look like (assigning them each a ‘persona’) and what channels can be used to communicate with them, before deciding on the perception you’d like each of these stakeholder groups to have of your business. This perception mapping exercise, carried out as part of our initial client discovery journey, is an essential component of our work and results in a bespoke Black Dot Perception Matrix.

But we don’t stop there. Our Black Dot Perception Matrix also recognises that whilst you might want to appear playful and approachable most of the time, you may need to adopt a more sombre look if your business suffers a crisis of some kind, and so we help you create a target perception for each group for a range of ‘business-as-normal’, not quite so normal and crisis conditions.
